United Way of Greater Newark (UWGN) is proud to announce that we have received Silver Recognition in the 5th Annual Anthem Awards in the category of Humanitarian Action & Services – Community Engagement.
The Anthem Awards celebrate purpose and mission-driven work from organizations worldwide, setting a global benchmark for social impact. This award specifically recognizes our collaborative efforts through the Newark Asset Building Coalition (NABC).
At UWGN, we focus on breaking cycles of poverty, and the NABC is central to that mission. This award highlights our success in expanding financial access and empowering families across every ward of Newark. By connecting residents with vital resources, from free tax preparation to financial education, we are helping our neighbors move from instability to security.
