With the 2024 tax season in full swing, United Way of Greater Newark (UWGN) invited residents to take advantage of free tax assistance through it’s highly successful Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program supported by Citizens $10,000 contribution and volunteer support.

United Way of Greater Newark will be hosting its Centennial Gala on Wednesday. Celebrating 100 years of service to the greater Newark community, the United Way will be presenting the esteemed William M. Ashby Community Service Award for the first time since 2016.

The United Way of Greater Newark, which works to improve outcomes for families in the Brick City, will celebrate a century of service at its upcoming Centennial Gala.
