Volunteer with Us
United Way of Greater Newark is dedicated to supporting 14 municipalities across Essex and Hudson counties. Our latest initiative, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, aims to unite communities in establishing an emergency fund for A.L.I.C.E. (Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed) residents in each municipality that we serve. Neighbors Helping Neighbors will accept donations at any time, with all contributions remaining within their respective municipalities. Together, we can foster thriving communities and support one another. With over 700,000 residents in our area, we have the chance to be a vital resource and lifeline for our most vulnerable neighbors.
We invite you to volunteer with us and participate in our canvassing campaign this spring. Your efforts will help spread the word about Neighbors Helping Neighbors and engage community members in this vital cause. Join us in making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most!
